Executive Chef Scott Hollingsworth was born and raised in Cornelius, where he attended North Mecklenburg High School. Scott inherited a passion for food from his mother. Scott's mom grew up in England and was the daughter of an Air Force pilot. She lived in various locations around the United States gaining many culinary influences. Scott's mother gave him the motivation and interest in becoming a Chef from a very early age.
Scott has been working in Lake Norman and Charlotte area restaurants for more than 20 years. He honed his talents at Fuzion Bistro in Cornelius and, most recently, South Charlotte's famed Upstream. He began his tenure at Dressler’s Restaurant in October of 2005. His commitment to quality, freshness, and creative presentation drew him to the Lake Norman hot spot of Dressler’s, where he began in October of 2005.
The true test of a chef is his ability to combine singular ingredients and create a flavor profile that is memorable. Dressler’s offers frequent wine dinners to showcase Chef Scott’s passion and talents for pairing food and wine.
Scott lives in Cornelius with his wife of eight years, Rhonda. His interests include his beloved Washington Redskins, bass fishing, and his dogs. Come visit Scott at Dressler’s and taste some of his culinary delight yourself.
